Map to the cabin. Lolo Pass is at milepost 42 on Highway 26. Then it is about 2 miles to Village Loop Road. This turnoff off Hwy 26 is approximately 10 miles west of Government Camp.

This camera is at ZigZag, at the intersection of Hwy 26 and Lolo Pass Rd.
Our cabin is higher in elevation than this camera. If there is snow in the picture, there is definitely snow at the cabin.

Summit Ski Area (snow tubing rentals)
White River Snow Park (4 miles north on Hwy 35 past the intersection of Hwy 26)
Snow Bunny Snow Park (3 miles east of Government Camp)

Mounatin Sports Rental shop is located at the Thriftway Plaza, one mile east of Lolo Pass.
SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Popular Lakes to can be driven to: Timothy Lake, Trillium Lake, Frog Lake, Clear Lake, Little Crater Lake
Mirror Lake is a popular hiking trail.
Ramona Falls
This spectacular waterfall is just 2 miles past the cabin on Lolo Pass Road. It is a gentle 3 mile hike.
Steelhead Fishing
The local fishing store is called “The Fly Fishing Shop” and is just 1.5 miles east of Lolo Pass on Hwy 26.
Wildwood Recreation Area
This day use Recreation site is 2 miles east of Lolo Pass on Hwy 26. You can explore the Salmon River along intrepretive trails and the underwater fish viewing chamber. There are picnic tables and play structures.
Mountain Biking Sandy Ridge Area
DAY TRIPS
This is a vacation town on the Columbia River and is known as the Windsurfing Capital of the World. It is about a 45 minute drive around Mt Hood thru a gorgeous valley on Hwy 35 through fruit orchards and farms. There is lots of shopping in town and many wineries in the area to try.
Multnomah Falls and Columbia River Gorge
Multnomah Falls is the highest waterfall in the state at 611 feet. There are numerous other high waterfalls along the Historic Columbia River Highway that can be seen in an afternoon. This is along Highway 84, about an hour from the cabin. This could be combined with a trip to Mt Hood, or can be seen when driving to or from the cabin.

Rendezvous Grill
A nice restaurant good for special occassions. 2 miles east of Lolo Pass in Welches.
Wraptitude
A healthy wrap and coffee place. 2 miles east of Lolo Pass in Welches.
El Burro Loco is a great Mexican restuarant 2 miles east of Lolo Pass in Welches.
Coffee Brewsters is the closest coffee shop at the Thriftway shopping plaza.
Thriftway is located about 1 mile east of Lolo Pass Road. It is a full grocery store.
